Understanding Vaccine Benefits

With Mass Advantage you pay $0 for all Part B vaccines and Part D vaccines that are covered by Medicare. Most adult Part D vaccines cost you nothing. Vaccines are also not subject to prescription drug deductibles. However, where you get your vaccines will determine if you need to pay any charges upfront and then request reimbursement from Mass Advantage.

  • PART B VACCINES: YOU PAY $0 for Influenza (Flu), Pneumococcal vaccine (Pneumonia), Covid-19 and Hepatitis B vaccines, when received at your provider's office or participating pharmacy.
  • PART D VACCINES: YOU PAY $0 for Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), Shingles, Hepatitis A, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) Meningococcal (meningitis), and Varicella vaccines, when received at a participating pharmacy.

NOTE: If you receive the Part D vaccination at your provider’s office, you may have to pay for the entire cost of the vaccine itself and the cost for the provider to give it to you. You can then ask Mass Advantage to reimburse you for our share of cost.
